The Department of History, Norman Putsure College, organized a study tour to Delhi and Agra from 10th to 18th December 2025. 8 students accompanied by two teachers participated in this enriching journey.
The trip aimed to provide students with a firsthand experience of India’s rich historical and cultural heritage. The group visited iconic landmarks like Qutab Minar, a 73-meter-tall UNESCO World Heritage Site, where they learned about its history and significance. They explored Humayun’s Tomb, marveling at Mughal architecture and gardens, and witnessed the grandeur of Akshardham Temple. At India Gate, they paid respects at the war memorial . The highlight was the Taj Mahal, experiencing the breathtaking beauty and love story behind this iconic monument.




Throughout the tour, students interacted with local historians and guides, gaining deeper insights, and engaged in cultural exchange, observing traditional crafts. The trip fostered teamwork and bonding among students and teachers.
The tour enriched students’ understanding of Indian history, architecture, and culture, complementing their academic curriculum. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with participants finding the experience invaluable. The department plans to organize similar tours to promote experiential learning and cultural appreciation.
