Vocational Training
The college offers two vocational courses that are purely optional for all interested students who may opt to gain greater career prospects.

  1. Music: The college has collaborated with Shofar Music Academy to guide students who have an interest in music.
  2. Football: The college has collaborated with Dimapur Football Club (DFC) for football coaching to impart professional football training to our interested students.

FOOTBALL TRAINING

The football training under the vocational courses took place at the Sovima Football Ground near the Cricket Stadium. The training began on July 9, 2022, under special trainer Sir Patrick Brixner, a professional footballer from Brazil who works as a football trainer for Dimapur FC.

The training was done in collaboration with Dimapur FC, and we were trained by some members of Dimapur FC along with Sir Patrick.
We were adequately trained by special trainers, which had a great impact on the trainees. All the necessary items were provided by the college, along with transportation and a certain amount of fee. We were seven members, namely Bongzili, Bumang, Bwenlo, Pika, Thejakhwelie, and Tovi.

The schedule for the training was every Saturday from 8 a.m. sharp until noon.
In the beginning of the training session, we were taught about the basic rules and regulations, along with an intensive warm-up and teamwork. Skills were taught carefully and strictly, along with punishments such as push-ups, running around the ground, going up and down, etc. We were trained on highly facilitated and well-equipped Ground.

The main objectives of this training were to develop and find out the hidden talent of students and to master the talent of football. We, the trainees, do not only learn about football but also about teamwork, team spirit, and most importantly, true sportsmanship.

We enjoyed the learning process, which had a great impact on every individual trainee.

“In football, we win as a group, we lose as a group, and we divide the credit and the blame.
