The primary objective of the trip was to educate students about the significance of cultural heritage and its preservation. Specifically, the trip aimed to provide students with hands-on experience and insight into the traditional Morungs of Kisama.
During the trip, students were assigned a project to study the Morungs, which involved observing, recording, and analyzing the architectural, cultural, and historical aspects of these traditional structures. This project enabled students to develop their research skills, critical thinking, and cultural appreciation.
The Department of History’s field trip to Kisama Heritage Village was a resounding success. The trip provided students with a unique learning experience, combining academic rigor with cultural immersion and team-building.
