Norman Putsure College celebrated Cultural Day 2026 on 24th February 2026 under the Inspiration theme “Heritage Reimagined”, at the College Auditorium, bringing together students, faculty, and invited guests for a day of rich cultural expression, traditional artistry, and spirited competition. The event featured Dr. Rosemary Dziivichü, Co-convenor of Naga Global Forum and Advisor NMA, as in the Special Guest.

The programme was chaired by Rudisenüo and Lumtsase, setting an atmosphere of unity and festivity. The event opened with an energetic and graceful Cultural Troupe dance, showcasing the essence of Naga heritage through movement and rhythm. The highlight of the morning session was the Speaker’s Address by Dr. Rosemary Dzivichü,  Co-convenor of Naga Global Forum and Advisor of the Naga Mother’s Association (NMA), who encouraged students to preserve their cultural identity while embracing academic growth and community values. In her speech, she highlighted that Nagas in general have to be progressive in all fields in these changing times and encouraged the young students to take initiatives for preservation of not only our tangible cultures but also the intangible.

The event featured various cultural presentations and competitions from folk songs and dance infused with contemporary beats to cuisines tailored with modern twist blend in modern flavour, form traditional documentary to photography that captures stories and narratives and traditional games forging connections and cultural spirits.

These performances allowed students to display their creativity, talent, and deep connection to their cultural roots. Shortly after a break, the Informal Session began wherein the students enthusiastically participated in a range of engaging competitions including:

4. Pole Climbing

5. Tug of War

The atmosphere was filled with excitement, unity, and sportsmanship as participants showcased both skill and teamwork. Norman Putsure College’s Cultural Day 2026 stood as a vibrant testament to the institution’s commitment to fostering cultural pride, unity, and holistic student development.
