The college successfully organized an interactive "Young Talk" session today, featuring a distinguished scholar, educator, and author Mr. Jungshi Jamir as the guest speaker.
The event commenced with an insightful discourse on the ultimate value of knowledge, during which Mr. Jamir urged the student community to cultivate deep academic curiosity, sharpen their critical thinking skills, and expand their learning horizons. Transitioning into a practical masterclass on literacy and authorship, he shared invaluable guidance on nurturing an interest in creative writing and detailed the essential steps required to navigate the competitive global book publishing industry, drawing inspiration from his own upcoming non-fiction book contract with Hachette.

Furthermore, reflecting on his expansive personal journey of studying across three distinct continents which includes completing multiple associate degrees at Citrus College, a Bachelor’s degree at California State University, Bakersfield, and a Master’s degree at Keele University in England ,Mr. Jamir provided a strategic roadmap for local students seeking to transition outside Nagaland for higher education.
The highly engaging session wrapped up with an extensive question-and-answer period, providing the students with a clear sense of direction and newfound motivation to proactively seek out global scholastic opportunities and publish their own creative works.
