Norman Putsure College, Chümoukedima, Nagaland, held its Graduation Programme on 22 August 2026 at the college auditorium, celebrating the achievements and accomplishments of the graduating Class of 2026.
The programme brought together the graduating students, faculty members, parents, alumni and members of the college community for a meaningful celebration marking an important milestone in the students’ academic journey.
The programme was chaired by Limayala Changkílari, Assistant Professor, Department of English. The programme commenced with an invocation by Lorence Ngushe, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Saneinuo Putsure, Managing Director.
Adding to the occasion, the Normanians presented a musical ensemble. The Faculty Address was delivered by Nungsangmongla Ozukum, Assistant Professor, Department of History, while Kenitsino Chase, representing the Class of 2026, delivered the Valedictory Address.
The programme also featured an Address by the Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) Zavise Rume, Director, Vocational Studies, International University, Nagaland. His address highlighted the significance of education, perseverance and responsibility as students move forward into the next phase of their lives.
A special Tribute to Parents was presented by Kaikho Loli, Assistant Professor, Department of History, acknowledging the support and sacrifices of parents and families behind the students’ academic journey. This was followed by an Oration by an Alumnus.
One of the key highlights of the programme was the Presentation of Awards and Certificates, conducted by Vizono Khesoh, Convener, Graduation Committee. The presentation recognised the achievements of students and marked the culmination of their college experience.
The programme concluded with an Expression of Gratitude by Avani Ngullie, Member, Graduation Committee, followed by the Benediction by Vilbonu Kulnu, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology. The graduation programme served as a memorable occasion for the Class of 2026, celebrating not only their academic accomplishments but also the support of their teachers, parents and the wider college community. The college extended its best wishes to all graduating students as they embark on new opportunities and responsibilities beyond the institution.
