Summary:
On 12-12-23, a group of 10-15 enthusiastic girls participated in a floriculture class at Sovima Camp. Under the guidance of our instructor, the students were engaged in hands-on activities related to flower cultivation and care.

The students began with a demonstration on cutting flowers. Our instructor taught us the proper techniques for cutting flowers to ensure their healthy growth. They learned about the importance of selecting the right stem length and making clean cuts to promote successful propagation.

Next, the students delved into the art of transplanting. The instructor educated the students on the essential components of a suitable potting mix, including soil, charcoal, and other necessary materials. They had the opportunity to mix these components themselves, gaining practical knowledge in creating an ideal growing medium.

With the pots prepared, they carefully planted the cut flowers, ensuring proper spacing and depth. The instructor emphasized the significance of gentle handling to avoid damaging the delicate roots. This hands-on experience allowed them to understand the importance of transplanting for the healthy development of flowers.

The students left with a deeper appreciation for the artistry and effort involved in creating beautiful floral arrangements.

We extend our gratitude to our instructor for sharing their knowledge and guiding us throughout the program.
