Norman Putsure College observed Anti-Ragging Week on 16th August 2024 with a program held in the college auditorium. The Anti-Ragging Committee organised an event under the theme “Youth Against Ragging,” aiming to create a ragging-free environment and promote a culture of respect and inclusivity among students. The program featured a lecture by Dr. Ratan Chandra Das, Assistant Professor of the English Department, who shared insightful perspectives on the impact of ragging and the importance of collective action against it.

Dr. Das’s lecture emphasised the need for students to take ownership of creating a safe and supportive campus community.

The program concluded with a pledge-taking ceremony, where students vowed to uphold the values of respect, empathy, and inclusivity. The event was a resounding success, with students, faculty, and staff coming together to reaffirm their commitment to preventing ragging and promoting a positive college culture.
