The Anti-Ragging Cell of Norman Putsure College organised an Anti-Bullying Reel-Making Competition cum Awareness Drive on 12 August, 2026 to observe National Anti-Ragging Day. The programme was conducted as part of the observance of Anti-Ragging Week, an initiative promoted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in educational institutions across the country to create awareness about the harmful effects of ragging and to promote a safe, respectful and inclusive campus environment.
The programme aimed to engage students in spreading awareness about the importance of preventing ragging and bullying through a creative and accessible medium. As part of the competition, each department of the college prepared a short reel based on the theme “Youth Against Ragging.” Through these reels, students were encouraged to reflect on the negative impact of ragging and bullying and to communicate the message of empathy, mutual respect, responsible behaviour and a safe educational environment.
The competition provided students with an opportunity to actively participate in the college's anti-ragging awareness efforts while making use of their creativity and digital media skills. The participation of the different departments contributed to creating greater awareness among the student community and reinforced the message that ragging and bullying have no place in an educational institution.
After evaluation of the entries, the Department of History emerged as the winning department of the Reel-Making Competition. The winning entry was appreciated for effectively conveying the message of the campaign through a creative and engaging presentation.
