On the 13th of December 2023, Norman Putsure College hosted a skill class on Salad Dressing & Salsa Making, conducted by Chef Joel Basumatari. The event was attended by both students and faculty members eager to enhance their culinary skills.

Chef Joel Basumatari led an engaging and informative session, demonstrating various techniques and recipes for creating flavourful salad dressings and salsas. His expertise and passion for cooking were evident as he shared tips on ingredient selection, flavour combinations, and presentation.

 The class encouraged active participation, with attendees given the opportunity to ask questions and even try their hand at preparing some of the dressings and salsas under Chef Joel’s guidance.  Following the skill class, all attendees had the pleasure of enjoying the delicious dishes prepared during the session. The salads dressed with homemade dressings and accompanied by vibrant salsas were met with enthusiasm and appreciation by everyone present.

The skill class was a resounding success, providing valuable insights and hands-on experience for both students and faculty members. It not only expanded the culinary knowledge but also inspired a newfound appreciation for fresh and flavourful ingredients in creating wholesome dishes.
