I am very grateful to our college for providing the opportunity for students to earn while studying. The part-time job in the cafeteria is fun, and not only do I get paid for the work, but I also learn skills such as washing dishes, brooming, mopping, and various procedures and steps taken to maintain a healthy and hygienic environment, a feature that is very much emphasized in all eateries and restaurants. The work is not gender-based at all; in fact, maintenance of cleanliness, being a basic skill, is a prerequisite of life, something that both males and females must possess. It taught me certain work values, such as discipline and showing respect to the manual workers.
The weekly remuneration received from the institution allows me to take care of my wants and needs without being dependent on my parents. My experience as a part-time employee at the institution teaches me the importance of moral values and work ethics as an employee.
