The college successfully hosted its 1st Inter-Departmental Debate Competition on October 3, 2026, at the College Auditorium.
The program was hosted by Ms. Nungsangmonlga Ozukum, Assistant Professor from the Department of History, and began with an invocation by Akozo Rio, the E.U. Vice President.
Dr. K. Timothy Langwangbe, Principal of Norman Putsure College, delivered the welcome address, setting an encouraging tone for the participants.
The debate centered around the crucial contemporary motion: "Higher education in Nagaland must pivot toward skill-based learning." Moderated by Mr. Kaikho Loli, Assistant Professor from the Department of History, the competition saw intense arguments from both sides. The motion group successfully defended with their robust points, ultimately winning the competition.
Adding to the event, a special musical number was performed by Neinunthem Tuboi and the Arcana Group before the highly anticipated results were announced.
In the individual categories, Likusa Chophy and Lamthokum stood out for their exceptional oratorical skills and were awarded the titles of the two best speakers. The event concluded successfully with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Avani Ngullie, Assistant Professor from the Department of Political Science.
