The Literature Club of Norman Putsure College held a workshop on creative writing with Theyievino Whiso and an author meet and greet with the author, Wedekhro naro on 5th February 2024 in the college auditorium . The event was devided into 2 sessions. The author meet and greet was held in the first session inclusive of the author’s note, followed by a Q&A session. During the session, the author gave insights about his writing journey and described what his inspirations were for each of his book. He briefly described what each book was about and what it meant to him. His latest book “Destined Apart” was based on his “situationship” in Kuwait. Wedekhro Naro reveals an interesting fact about his book where he states that “she chose the title and chose the image of the picture”. A man very humble at heart, he calls himself “a village boy” who writes in simple language. The session ended with the author encouraging the young minds and budding writers to not give up, to trust themselves and to be confident in their writings. He also thanked the literature club and the management for inviting him and extended his best regards to the college and the club.
After which, the 2nd session commenced, wherein Theyievino Whiso, who is the MD and Training Lead of Nagaland Institute of Language Studies and Research (NILSR), Kohima enlightened the students with knowledge on the world of publishing and its trade. She also

emphasized on several keypoints essential for any budding writers. She further encouraged the students to “Keep writing ” to enhance your skill and to practice discipline.


In her end remark, she expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the college and the club for inviting her and for organising such an instructive and enlightening event. She further extended her best wishes to the college for their future endeavours.


The program ended with a vote of thanks and benediction. Thereafter followed by a book signing event and a light refreshment.


The event was a grand success, an event worth attending to. Enlightening and guiding the students a step ahead in the world of literature.
